The best Amazon Prime Day 2024 mattress deals our editors are shopping

Must read

If there’s one item that we’re just never going to pay full price on, it’s a mattress. Thankfully, mattress sales are going on pretty much all the time at most of the major brands, whether you fancy shopping the Simba sale or Emma sale, but let’s not discount our trusty friends over at Amazon. In fact, there’s one event each year that’s well worth keeping an eye out for: the Amazon Prime Day mattress sales.

Now, we’re not going to sit here and say this is the new Black Friday, but it is Amazon, and it is a sale, and both of those things sound pretty good in our eyes when it comes to replacing one of the most expensive items in your home. Amazon now stocks some of the best mattresses out there, including Simba and Emma, as well as a few more affordable brands and some luxury ones on top. There are memory foam, pocket sprung and even hybrid mattresses aplenty, but also many an opportunity to stock up on bedding, duvets and pillows at the same time to make your sleep sanctuary all that more comfortable.

Excitingly, Amazon Prime Day is taking place this week on July 16 and 17. We’ll naturally be keeping you up to date with all of the deals to expect as we start to hear more information, so if you’re planning on waiting until then to grab your new mattress, we’ll have you covered. And if you fancy looking elsewhere we also have an entire guide to the best mattress sales at other brands. Just bear in mind, buying a mattress on Amazon may not be your chance to get it at its most affordable price, even on Prime Day, so do take a look at the other sales out there.

What is Amazon Prime Day?

Second, only to Black Friday and the January sales, Amazon Prime Day has secured itself in the sale shopping calendar as one of the biggest tentpole events of the year. Falling each year on two days in the summer, although this was delayed to October because of the pandemic in 2020, Prime Day sees Amazon drop its prices on a wide range of products on site. Whether you’re after body hair trimmers or toothbrushes, make sure you don’t miss out on one of the best money-saving opportunities around.

How do I sign up to Amazon Prime?

The best way to reap the benefits of Prime Day is, of course, to make sure you’re signed up to Amazon Prime. Not only will this give you free next-day delivery, but you’ll also have access to the Prime sales for only £8.99 per month, or try a free 30-day subscription trial when using a unique email address. Dreamy!

Mattresses vary quite substantially, so figuring out which one is right for you involves taking quite a few factors into consideration. Part of it comes down to personal preference around whether you like a firmer or a softer mattress, whether you like to sleep in a cooler environment, and how much you care about the more premium mattress features, but you’ll also need to do some research into which style of mattress will work best for your sleeping position, body size, and to support any areas of your body which might require a bit more attention.
