Tesco launches Clubcard scheme which could see customers get £100 bonus points

Must read

Tesco customers may be able to earn up to £50 in bonus points over the next few weeks – which can be doubled to £100.

The offer will run from Monday July 15 to Sunday August 25.

The scheme previously ran in May, with around three million Clubcard holders taking part.

Tesco has confirmed that the new challenges will work the same way as before, giving customers the chance to make huge savings.

How does the Tesco Clubcard Challenges work?

Customers will be offered 20 spending challenges and will be able to complete up to 10 of these.

The challenges will be available via email or in the Tesco app. Customers have to manually select which challenge(s) they want to be applied to their account.

If people change their minds about the challenges they wish to take part in, they can deselect it and choose another.

In May, the challenges available were personalised based on one’s pending habits.

For example, customers will be asked to “spend £20 on our Summer BBQ range over the next six weeks” or “spend £10 on plant-based meals”.

Customers will be able to earn up to £100’s worth of bonus Clubcard points.

The maximum they will be able to earn from completing all 10 challenges is 5,000 Clubcard points, worth £50 to spend in Tesco.

However this can be doubled to £100 if they redeem them with one of Tesco’s ‘Reward Partners’.

There are over 100 Clubcard Reward Partners that offer a variety of rewards such as family days out, discounts at popular restaurant chains, and many fun experiences.

Some partners available include Cineworld, Chessington World of Adventures, Thorpe Park and Zizzi.

Normally, people have to spend £1 at Tesco to earn one Clubcard point, and 100 Clubcard points is equal to £1 in Tesco vouchers. This can doubled by redeeming with a Reward Partner.

Additionally, every £1 spent on Tesco Mobile is worth one point, while every £4 spent on a Tesco credit card is also worth one point.

Customers can also get one point for every £1 spent using a Tesco Clubcard Pay+ debit card.

Last month, Tesco partnered up with OVO to offer big rewards for new and existing customers.

When Tesco customers switch to OVO Energy, they can get 2,500 Clubcard points to spend in-store.

These Clubcard points are worth £25 but customers can double their value to £50 if they redeem them with a Tesco “Reward Partner”.

To qualify for the OVO offer, customers must link their OVO and Tesco Clubcard accounts.
