Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s and more issue food and product recalls over customer safety risk – full list of items

Asda, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Waitrose and Marks and Spencer have all issued product recalls in recent days and weeks.

Britons have been urged to check their kitchens for the affected items and ensure they do not consume them. In the case of a children’s toy recalled by multiple supermarkets, kids must stop using it immediately.


Asda

ASDA Extra Special Sea Salt & Chardonnay Wine Vinegar Hand Cooked Crisps 150g

Asda told customers: “Asda is recalling the above Best Before Date Code of ASDA Extra Special Sea Salt & Chardonnay Wine Vinegar Hand Cooked Crisps 150g because packs contain milk (milk) which is not mentioned on the label.

Al’Fez Natural Tahini has been recalled by multiple supermarkets

“This means that the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk.

“If you have purchased Allergen Alert: ASDA Extra Special Sea Salt & Chardonnay Wine Vinegar Hand Cooked Crisps 150g with the above best before date, please bring it back to your nearest store where you will be given a full refund. You do not need your receipt. No other date codes are affected.

Al’Fez Natural Tahini 160g / 270g

Morrisons said: “Al’Fez is taking the precautionary step of recalling Al’Fez Natural Tahini 160g/ 270g for all product that remains within its “best before date” window. The decision has been taken due to a risk of a possible presence of Salmonella. No other Al’Fez products are affected.

“If you have one of the products detailed above which is within its “best before date” window, please return it to store for a full refund. You do not need a receipt.

“If you purchased it online, contact the Al’Fez consumer care team on (UK) 0800 0195 617, (ROI) 0044 800 0195 617 or at consumer.services@abworldfoods.com.”

Al’Fez Natural Tahini 160g has also been recalled by Tesco and Sainsbury’s.

Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference Sea Salt and Suffolk Cider Vinegar Hand Cooked Crisps

Sainsbury’s said: “Sainsbury’s are recalling their Taste the Difference Sea Salt and Suffolk Cider Vinegar Hand Cooked Crisps with the above use by date as a precautionary measure, as it may contain milk which is not stated on the label. This means the product could pose a risk to consumers with an allergy or intolerance to milk.

“If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to milk, do not eat it. Instead, return it to your local Sainsbury’s store for a full refund (with or without receipt).

“For further details or if you have any questions, please visit our website Sainsburys.co.uk/help or you can contact our careline on 0800 028 8303. No other Sainsbury’s product has been affected and we would like to apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.”

Sainsbury’s said: “BFree is recalling all BFree Sunflower & Pumpkin Seed loaves due to the potential presence of peanuts. As this poses a health risk to those with a peanut allergy, they are looking to recall all loaves.

“This product has recently undergone a packaging change. We are asking customers who have purchased either packaging style of this product who are allergic to peanuts not to eat it and to return it to their nearest Sainsbury’s store, where they will receive a full refund.

“For any concerns or queries or if you are unable to return the product to store, then please contact. BFree via e-mail quality@bfreefoods.com. No other BFree products have been affected by this issue. BFree would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”

This product is also being recalled by Tesco.

CocoMelon JJ Interactive Learning Doll

Tesco said: “Just Play Products are recalling the CocoMelon JJ Interactive Learning Doll, due to the following manufacturing defect: if a child presses the sewn seams of the doll with enough force, the seams could give way. This means a child could access the stuffing material inside, which could present a choking hazard.

“If you have a CocoMelon JJ Interactive Learning Doll, please stop using it immediately. Instead, return it to a Tesco store for a refund. No receipt is required. Use our store locator to find your nearest Tesco.

“Do not consume. Package up item. Return the product to your local Waitrose & Partners branch for a refund.”

“We apologise that it has been necessary to recall this product and for the inconvenience caused.”
