Must read

The BFree Sunflower & Pumpkin Seed Loaf, sold in major supermarkets including Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Ocado, has been recalled by BFree Foods because the product “may contain peanuts” that are not mentioned on the label.

The Food Standards Agency explained: “This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to peanuts.”

BFree Foods issued a food warning saying: “Do not consume if allergic to peanuts. Please return product to retailer for refund. Retailer to dispose of any affected product. We apologise for any inconvenience.”

The FSA advised: “If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to peanuts do not eat it. Instead return it to where it was bought for a full refund.

Aldi recently recalled the Ashfields Grill Four Garlic and Herb Chicken Kebabs “because of a labelling error which shows an incorrect use-by date, making the product unsafe to eat”.

The supermarket said: “No other products are affected. Customers are asked to return this product to their nearest store, where a full refund will be given.”

WHSmith recalled one of its most popular wraps, the ‘THIS! Chicken and Bacon Wrap’, as a precaution over fears of possible E-coli contamination.

The Food Standards Agency explained: “E. coli has not been detected in the product listed but it is being recalled as a precaution. This product is only sold at WHSmith.”
