Our client, a highly prestigious professional membership body based in Central London are looking for a Temporary Assistant Librarian to join their team on a temporary, part-time basis. Based in the library office which serves their members, this role will be in the office in Central London two days per week, ideally Mondays and Wednesdays working a total of 14 hours per week.
You will be providing library and archive services for outward facing members, and members of the public – helping with customer queries and supporting them to get the information they need. This is an in-person role, staffing the library desk to support with administration, archiving tasks, and dealing with customer requests.
We are looking for a candidate who is immediately available with excellent customer service skills and an interest in working in library, archiving and/or information services. Our client is looking for a positive attitude, proven experience in working with customers and excellent general administration skills. This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to build a career in library services and archiving to join a highly prestigious organisation in this temporary role for a period of up to 3 months.
