Tartan Army ticket farce at Euro 2024 as Dave Cormack rages

Must read

Furious Dave Cormack has let rip as he claims Scotland diehards are experiencing the worst ever fan experience as they desperately seek entry for the Euro 2024 opener.

UEFA pledged supporters would seamlessly enter the Munich Arena but that isn’t the case on the ground with fans experiencing long waits and delays – and that’s backed up with ITV coverage featuring a sparse selection of punters inside the arena. And worried Tartan Army diehards have swamped social media to share their experiences on the big night with many still on the outside looking in.

But Aberdeen supremo Cormack – in the city to cheer on his country – pulled no punches. In an impassioned blast, he posted: “The worst organisation I’ve ever seen at a game. Been queuing for over an hour and still tens of thousands of people trying to get in. Where’s the German efficiency?”

Munich police chiefs earlier shut off several fan zones and urged punters without a ticket to spread around the Bavarian capital in order to enjoy the game. The news comes as supporters were also seen storming the gates at the fanzone in Munich after it hit full capacity.
