You may recall that, a few months ago, Microsoftâs Xbox team had announced that they were shutting down multiple studios. One of them was Tango Gameworks, the developer studio behind Hi-Fi Rush. It was the latest in an unfortunate series of layoffs and closures that has been plaguing the video gaming industry this year.
Well, there is some good news to share. Krafton, which is the publisher of PUBG: Battlegrounds, has announced that they have acquired the company and the Hi-Fi Rush IP. Krafton says that, not only want the team to continue supporting the IP, but they even want Tango Gameworks to âexplore future projectsâ. Games that were already released, including Hi-Fi Rush, will not be impacted by this and will continue to remain available where they are currently available.
