Christmas shoppers have been left unable to access thousands of loyalty discounts following a computer glitch.
Customers at Morrisons stores across the county doing their food shop ahead of the big day have reported issues with their Morrisons More card.
The scheme offers cut-rate prices for meat, alcohol and other goods throughout the shop.
But it is understood all of Kent’s branches are affected, including 12 superstores such as ones in Canterbury, the Isle of Sheppey and Walderslade.
A Morrisons spokesperson confirmed there are “system issues” affecting the More Card discounts and Click and Collect orders.
But with many taking to their local store in hopes of getting last-minute deals, the saga has left many shoppers aggrieved.
One Dover shopper said: “Is that even legal for them to continue trading to others under false advertisements?”
Another accused the company of being “very naughty” claiming they had hundreds of pounds added to their bill due to the error.
But the company says it will apply discounts to shoppers’ bills if the More Card is not working properly.
The spokesperson added: “Today we are experiencing some system issues which are affecting our More Card customers.
“For More Card customers who have Morrisons Fivers to redeem, these will be done manually in-store by colleagues.
“All our stores have now made the top 100 More Card prices the regular price – including the 10p veg deal, turkeys, spirits and champagne.
“In addition, we will give More Card customers an extra 10% off their entire shop as an apology.”
