Employees affected by the collapse of three construction firms have been offered support by the Government of Jersey.
According to an automated email response from building firm Kalmac, Kalmac Ltd, Mac Energy Ltd and Eden Interiors Ltd all ceased trading on Monday.
Steve Jackson, the government’s group director for customer and local services, said staff and their families would be “facing uncertainty”.
Mr Jackson said anyone who might be concerned should get in touch for help and guidance.
“Officers will ensure that they have the support they need to understand all of the financial and employment support that will be made available at this difficult time,” he said.
According to its website, Kalmac had been operating for more than 40 years.
The Jersey Chamber of Commerce said it was “saddened” by the decision which it labelled “another blow” for the island’s construction industry.
It comes after the collapse of Camerons Ltd and JP Mauger in 2023.
