Netflix viewers have been left scratching their heads over a major plot hole in the finale of Supacell, with many complaining that the twist ‘doesn’t make sense’
The Netflix original Supacell has shaken viewers since its release at the end of June.
Globally, audiences have been left anxious anticipating the aftermath of Michael Lasaki’s (played by Tosin Cole) forced farewell to his fiancee Dionne Ofori (Adelayo Adedayo).
Michael, in a heart-wrenching turn of events, rewinds time to confront Krazy (Ghetts), only to see his beloved Dionne caught in the line of fire inside what she assumed was a safe vehicle.
Later on, Michael reunites with his super-abled comrades devising a retribution plan for the days to come.

Even though the six-part series has successfully clinched the audience’s attention, many were perplexed as to why Michael wasn’t able to reset time once more to secure Dionne’s survival.
An exasperated viewer exclaimed on Reddit: “Can someone explain to me HOW THE HELL D GETTING SHOT SUDDENLY AFFECTS HOW FAR BACK MIKE CAN TRAVEL TO?!?!?!?!?”
There seem to be discrepancies revolving around Dionne’s unfortunate fate.
For instance, an older version of Michael travels back earlier during the series to alert his younger self of Dionne’s possible death on July 9 unless acted upon differently.
But if he could move back that far, why couldn’t he alter time again ensuring his would-be wife stays clear from Krazy’s crossfire?
“This show just p***ed me off,” a disgruntled viewer wrote online. “If the powers come from the sickle cell trait and she’s literally a normal person with no sickle cell anything, her death shouldn’t all of a sudden affect how far back he can travel in time…
“WHEN HE’S LITERALLY TRAVELLED TO AFTER HER DEATH, BACK TO BEFORE HER DEATH ALREADY!!!! Am I missing something????”
As the debate heated up, other fans tried to make sense of this seemingly significant plot gap, yet a solid resolution remains elusive.
“Good question. I’d suggest that Michael’s not yet able to control his ability to undo time,” one fan proposed.
“He didn’t do it on purpose the first time, when Tazer killed him. And he didn’t do it on purpose when he returned after travelling to the future.
“To wit: If it was possible, bearded and locked-up Michael from 6 months in the future would have undone time and stopped all of it from happening.
“Not a definitive answer, but it’s one that I can live with.”
With no crystal clear explanation, viewers might need to brace themselves for potential disappointment unless everything is explained if a second season rolls around.
