STRICTLY fans have been left fuming after noticing another swipe against Wynne Evans from his pro partner Katya Jones.
The duo have been under scrutiny recently, with more focus on their ‘grope scandal’ than their dance moves.
And this weekend eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot another dig at the Go Compare singer leaving many feeling upset on his behalf.
The pair stood apart from one another during the live show, while many commented on how Wynne didn’t seem his usual happy, smiley self.
Many took to X, formerly Twitter, to comment, with one saying: “Wynne is a shell of his former self” and another commenting: “Wynne and Katya looking awkward is comedy moment of the night.”
Another fan simply added: “Wynne and Katya. Oh dear.”
Things then took a turn for the worse when it was their turn to perform.
In their opening footage, Katya said Wynne needed to: “Take it to a whole new level,” with the Welsh singer admitting their quickstep felt like a “gym routine”.
When Katya added: “It’s not something he’s used to,” Wynne commented: “She is way more tired than I am.”
“What I was trying to say is, I need to build my stamina if I’m to carry him for this routine,” Katya said laughing.
The pair then danced a quickstep to Mr Blue Sky by Electric Light Orchestra.
Their routine finished with a blob of mayonnaise on Wynne’s head as Katya cleaned it off.
Judge Anton Du Beke commented: “It’s a lovely show when you dance”.
Motsi Mabuse called it “exquisite” before the pair gained 33 points for their efforts.
Wynne and Katya have been under intense scrutiny recently after two rather awkward moments.
The first was when Katya knocked his hand away when it moved along her waist.
Then the Russian dancer and choreographer was deemed to have left her pro partner hanging when he tried to high-five her following Sam Quek and Nikita Kumzin’s performance.
Taking to Strictly spin-off show ‘It Takes Two’ after last night’s dance Katya re-addressed the problems from the week before saying: “I have to make this absolutely clear that this whole incident with the hand and the high five on Saturday night, it was an inside joke between Wynne and I. “
“Was it a silly joke? Yes. Was it a bad joke? Yes.”
