Stevie Nicks delivers moving tribute to late music icons in London

Stevie Nicks delivered an emotional tribute to Tom Petty at her Hyde Park concert in London, just hours after plans for the heartfelt homage were revealed.

The 76-year-old singer honoured her late friend and collaborator, who passed away in 2017, alongside another Fleetwood Mac legend, Christine McVie.

Nicks and Petty shared the stage in the same park just months before his untimely death at 66.

“It was the final time Stevie saw Tom…and now she is back on the same stage so it will doubtless be a very emotional experience.”

Her band played Tom’s and Stevie’s duet song Free Fallin’ during the tribute. The iconic singer told her audience: “This is a special day for a lot of reasons, to be back here because I feel his presence. I know he’s at this event and he’s happy with me here.”

Nicks is set to honour her late bandmate Christine McVie with a heartfelt tribute at her sold-out Hyde Park concert, attended by 60,000 fans. A montage of Stevie and Christine’s memories is expected to play during the encore performance of ‘Landslide’.

Additionally, Harry Styles is rumored to join Stevie on stage later in the evening. Christine passed away last November at 79, and Stevie has since dismissed any possibility of a Fleetwood Mac reunion, saying: “When Christine died, I felt like you can’t replace her. You just can’t. Without her, what is it? You know what I mean?”

Stevie’s tribute comes as she grapples with the loss of her beloved bandmate.
