Everybody’s favourite farming sim is set to receive another free update courtesy of developer ConcernedApe.
Despite Stardew Valley first being released over eight years ago, the revolutionary farming simulator is still being updated to this day.

Thanks to developer Eric Barone, players can look forward to regular updates that not only fix any issues but also add brand-new content to enjoy.
That is the case once again with the arrival of Update 1.6 which made its debut for PC earlier this year.
However, it is now making its way to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, iOS and Android, alongside Update 1.6.9 which arrives to PC.
Update 1.6.9 is set to bring quality of life and balance updates as well as a focus on the recovery of backed up save files if they happen to get corrupted during play.
There is no release date for both updates as of yet, but we can expect it to be around 6-7pm GMT.
As well as various gameplay tweaks and patches, the main selling point of Update 1.6 is a brand-new farm type known as Meadowlands Farm.
This farm contains “chewy blue grass that animals love” and includes a coop and two chickens.
Update 1.6 also welcomed the Desert Festival which takes place across three-days during Spring. It can be attended after the repair of the bus.
Not only that but the Stardew fishing fanatics can check out the two mini fishing festivals: Trout Derby and SquidFest to earn a bit of money and make some rare catches.
If you are more interested in your fellow villagers, then you will be pleased to know that more dialogue has been added to the game. This includes a custom gift reaction and much more.
This update brings heaps more additional content and better yet, it is completely free to download when it releases later this day.
So if you play Stardew Valley on console or mobile and have yet to experience Update 1.6, now is your chance.
