The latest Marvel Cinematic Universe installment has arrived in the form of a collision between Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), both of whom have previously appeared in several X-Men movies.
As Marvel boss Kevin Feige stressed, this film will bring mutants into the MCU in a big way.
It’s just the beginning. I’ve said that mutants are coming, and it all starts with this movie,” Feige told Marvel Live. “I can’t wait for people to see what [Deadpool & Wolverine] has in store and know that this is the beginning of mutants finally, finally arriving into the MCU.”
Many familiar faces from Deadpool and Deadpool 2 will feature in the threequel movie, as Deadline has previously reported with returners like Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, Shiolo Kutsuna and Rob Delaney as well as Karan Soni and Leslie Uggams.
It wouldn’t be a real Marvel movie, however, without a cameo or two — or four. Director Shawn Levy teased “a lot” of character cameos “peppered throughout” the film. Ryan Reynolds addressed the Taylor Swift rumor of it all in an interview right before the film’s release.
