A California socialite has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for the hit-and-run deaths of two brothers while speeding in a Mercedes behind another car driven by her baseball star lover.
Rebecca Grossman, the wife of a prominent Los Angeles burns doctor, was convicted in February of murdering Mark and Jacob Iskander, aged 11 and eight, after a high-profile trial.
A jury heard that Grossman, 60, was driving at more than 70mph in a residential neighbourhood in Westlake Village, California, after drinking during a lunch with Scott Erickson, her former boyfriend and an ex-baseball player for the Los Angeles Dodgers, with whom she was having an affair.
