- The Californian company was recently snapped testing its 930 Turbo Coupe on the Nurburgring.
- All Turbo models from Singer will have a 3.8-liter air-cooled flat-six with twin turbos.
- A six-speed manual will be the only transmission option.
Singer is doing more than launching a modern-day version of the Porsche 930 Turbo Coupe and, ahead of Monterey Car Week, revealed it is also developing Targa, Cabriolet, and Slantnose Coupe versions.
A handful of detailed renderings have been released that showcase the lineup of four 930 Turbo variants. The launch of this special family celebrates the 50th anniversary of the original 911 Turbo. Singer is believed to be building 70 examples of the standard Coupe model and confirmed that just 25 Slantnose Coupes will be built, all of which have already been accounted for. It’s unclear how many Targa and Cabriolet models are in the works.

Each 930 Turbo restoration from Singer will be underpinned by the chassis of a 964. The original 3.8-liter air-cooled Mezger flat-six is upgraded with a pair of turbochargers from the 992-generation model, boosting power to an impressive 510 hp. The Californian company had initially said both rear- and all-wheel drive would be an option, but its latest press release only mentions rear-wheel drive being available. All models will rock a six-speed manual transmission.
Singer has fitted the bodies of all of its 930 Turbo models with carbon fiber panels, yet done an excellent job of sticking true to the original designs. All models benefit from flared front and rear wheel arches and include black elements running below the doors and large side air intakes positioned just in front of the rear wheels.
The Coupe, Targa, and Cabriolet models also sport custom whale tail spoilers out back. Meanwhile, the rear wing of the Slantnose Coupe is a little more extreme and slightly larger. All versions get Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires as standard.
“The 911 Turbo was launched fifty years ago,” Singer founder and executive chairman Rob Dickinson said. “Since then it has been a poster child, autobahn hero and race winner, loved by drivers and enthusiasts around the world. We’re excited to be collaborating with owners to celebrate this icon of road and track and to wish the turbocharged 911 a very happy birthday.”
