With boho nostalgia reaching fever pitch, this latest release could not have been more perfectly timed, and fans of all things floaty will be happy to hear that the 33-piece collection is every inch the millennial boho fantasy: the ruffled maxi dresses! The quilted jackets! The chunky leather belts! Even the sarong(!). The gang’s all here. “I really think people look beautiful in floaty things, so I’m happy to see the return of boho,” Sienna reflects. “I just can’t believe it’s now vintage, because that makes me old!”
Whether you lived through it the first time or are just discovering the aesthetic via TikTok or Pinterest, how does Sienna recommend that you wear the boho trend in 2024? “You should have elements of it [in an outfit], but not go head-to-toe, unless that’s your aesthetic. I remember in the early Noughties people were taking everything really literally, and it just didn’t work for everyone – you have to be selective.”
With a new generation discovering – and devouring – the Noughties-era boho archive, how does her own daughter, Marlowe (aged 11), regard her mother’s fashion fame? “I’ve somehow bred a mini Anna Wintour,” she laughs. “She is so judgemental of what I wear and has the most incredible aesthetic. She’s very, very clear on what she does and doesn’t like. I’d love to share more style tips, but I’m actually getting more from her!”
Even if her tweenager is proving to be a tough crowd, we have no doubt that Sienna’s latest collection for M&S will be a sell-out success with shoppers. Time to set those clocks.
