‘Shop trip pending’ say fans as Zara to open ‘one of its biggest Scots stores’

A HUGE fashion retailer is set to open a brand new store in a Scottish shopping centre – and fans will love it.

Zara will open the doors of its new branch in Silverburn Shopping Centre in Glasgow sometime soon.

The popular clothing brand is set to move from its current space and into the old Debenhams unit.

The new shop will span across a whopping 47,000 sq ft making it one of its biggest stores in Scotland.

The new space will be twice the size of its current Silverburn store and be across two floors.

Bosses at Zara, which is one of the world’s leading fashion brands, announced the exciting news earlier today.

Although an exact date for the opening has not yet been revealed, bosses said it plans “to open as soon as possible.”

Building works for the new unit are already underway, which will see is transformed with a new façade and flagship design.

The branch will also feature Zara’s latest store concept and integrated online services.

Zara’s designers respond instinctively to their customers’ changing needs, reacting to the latest trends and constant feedback to deliver new ideas for everyone in the right place and at the right moment.

A massive billboard has also appeared at Silverburn informing shoppers of its move.

The huge sign teases: “Big things are coming”.

Sharing the news with shoppers on social media, bosses said they are “super excited” for the new store to open.

The post on Facebook read: “We are super excited to share that Zara will be moving into the former Debenhams unit here at Silverburn.

“Zara’s new store will be one of the brand’s largest in Scotland and twice the size of their existing unit.

“Building works are already underway in preparation for Zara to begin their own works later this year to create their new flagship store.

“An opening date will be confirmed in the coming months but in the meantime, you can continue to get your Zara fix at the existing Silverburn store which will remain open until their new home is ready.

“Stay tuned for more exciting brand announcements throughout the summer”.

And fans quickly flocked to the comments to share their excitement at the new Zara shop.

One person said: “That’s brilliant news and Silverburn is starting to fill those empty units. Still the best out of town centre by far”.

Another added: “This will be a HUGE Zara!”

Someone else tagged their friend and wrote: “You’re going to be skint hen”.

And a fourth posted: “Shopping trip pending”.

LATEST ADDITION

SILVERBURN has seen a raft of new retailers take space over recent months.

And the new additions have further reinforced its position as Scotland’s leading retail and leisure destination.

Prominent brands that have recently opened at Silverburn include AllSaints and Polestar.

And Mango is set to open its doors this summer which will further strengthen the fashion offer.

Kingpin Bowling is also joining the line-up later this year, bolstering Silverburn’s leisure offer.

While a fifth chimed in: “Exciting but not sure I’m mentally prepared for it”.

Bosses at Silvernburn have said the news is a “game-changer” for the shopping centre.
