Must read

Just three months ago he was black and blue, covered in bruises from his horrific cycling accident.

But Gordon Ramsay revealed he’s back in the saddle as he stripped off for a Men’s Health UK cover shoot.

The TV chef, 57, showed off his ripped abs and bulging biceps as he performed press ups before slipping into his Lycra to pose back with his bicycle.

Gordon also spoke out about nearly dying in a horrific biking accident in America, that left the father-of-six with a huge purple bruise.

Reflecting on the incident, he shared: ‘I couldn’t even put my f***king socks and pants on.’

Gordon continued: ‘Justin [Mandel, his assistant], he used to dress me in the morning. I felt like a f***ing 95-year-old man.

‘Asking a 30-year-old kid to put my f***ing underpants on was embarrassing.’

He first spoke about the accident on social media, sharing an Instagram post that read: ‘With #FathersDay tomorrow I have a very important message for all the dads out there…

‘WEAR A HELMET! This week I had a really bad accident while riding my bike in Connecticut .

‘I’m doing ok and did not break any bones or suffer any major injuries but I am a bit bruised up looking like a purple potato.’

‘I’m thankful for all the doctors, nurses and staff at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London who looked after me and checked me out, but most thankful for my helmet that saved my life. Have a great Father’s Day and be safe Gx.’

Despite the scare, Gordon insisted that he has no plans to slow down as he laughed off talk of retiring.

‘I could sit back, put my feet up, buy a boat and f**k off to the Caribbean, but I have no interest in that,’ he shared.

Gordon continued: ‘I love the jeopardy and I can do that because I’m fit. I can do that because I’ve got the drive.

‘When I haven’t got the drive, then I’ll decide to hang up the hat.

‘I love luxury. I love cars, but f**k me, do I work hard for them.’

The chef and his wife Tana, 49, returned to their south London mansion in June which they bought in 2002 for £2.8million.

Now worth £7million, the home has undergone a number of renovations over the years, including a single storey outbuilding in the garden and a temporary pig enclosure.

He was also said to have increased his security at the property to protect his family.

The couple share their six children – Megan, 25 twins Jack and Holly, 23, Matilda, 21, Oscar, four, and Jesse, six months.

Gordon revealed that for his children’s 18th birthdays he bought them marathon running places, rather than expensive gifts.

‘While a lot of our friends buy their kids cars and f***ing iPads, we got our kids marathon places for their 18th birthday.

‘You’re running the marathon for Great Ormond Street. Here’s your bib. Now move your a**e.’
