Sharon Osbourne sparks Ozzy Osbourne health concerns with cryptic update

Must read

Sharon Osbourne, 71, recently announced that she and her husband Ozzy Osbourne, 75, will not be able to attend an upcoming fan convention which has sparked some concern over the former rock ‘n’ roll singer’s health.

The 75-year-old made the decision in February 2023 to retire from touring after years of injury, illness and postponements due to having a major accident and damaging his spine.

Announcing the news on a social media post, he explained: “This is probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to share with my loyal fans. As you may all know, four years ago, this month, I had a major accident, where I damaged my spine.

“My one and only purpose during this time has been to get back on stage. My singing voice is fine. However, after three operations, stem cell treatments, endless physical therapy sessions, and most recently groundbreaking Cybernics (HAL) Treatment, my body is still physically weak.

“I want to thank my family my band my crew my longtime friends, Judas Priest, and of course, my fans for their endless dedication, loyalty, and support, and for giving me the life that I never ever dreamed I would have. I love you all.”

Since then his public appearances have been sparse, but it was understood that the couple were due to attend the Mad Monster Party in Arizona, in the US, with their children Jack Osbourne, 38, and Kelly Osbourne, 39, next month.

However, the reality star has since shared an update that their son will be attending without them in a recent Instagram post where she apologised: “Regretfully the Osbourne family have to cancel our upcoming appearance at the Mad Monster Party in Phoenix because Ozzy is unable to travel at this time.

“However Jack will be there flying the flag for the Osbourne’s. Everybody who bought the Osbourne package will of course get full refunds. We would like to thank you all for your constant support with Ozzy.

“It means so much to him, you have no idea. All I can do is apologise that we won’t be there and I’m apologising to the people we’ve let down from my heart. So god bless you all. Thank you so much.”

Sean Clark, owner and operator of Convention All Stars, elaborated on the reasons for the star’s absence in a Facebook post and said: “These kinds of posts are no fun but I hope the fans will understand.

“Ozzy really, really wanted to attend Mad Monster Party in AZ next month but unfortunately his doctor said he has to sit this one out. Let’s all wish Ozzy the best and a speedy recovery.

“Also Jack will be bringing pre-signed items to be sold at the show for those wanting to get something signed by Ozzy or the family.”

Despite their absence at some events, the family always show up for their podcast, which recently saw Osbourne launch a savage attack on “rough-looking” Katie Price in a bizarre feud.

She brought up Price’s record with ex-husband Peter Andre and said: “Peter Andre, I was saying, we like him, he’s a really good guy. But singing, with, she was, oh my God.

“She’s covered in tattoos now, covered. And she keeps going back to Turkey for Turkey teeth and Turkey breasts. She’s looking pretty rough, unfortunately. And she was a beautiful woman at one point, [then] she started chopping herself up.”

The family went on to listen to a clip of Price and Andre singing A Whole New World, before their son revealed: “That’s not the (bad) version. I heard a version that made me want to live in a whole new world.”
