Shah Rukh Khan made a stunning comeback after his 4-year hiatus by treating his fans with successful films like Jawan, Pathaan, and Dunki. During a recent award show, the superstar recalled the ‘tough time’ he faced while shooting for ‘Jawan’, seemingly referring to his son Aryan Khan’s arrest.
While bagging the trophy of Best Actor in a leading role for his performance in Jawan at the event, the actor gave a winning speech.SRK said, “Somebody reminded me that money needs to be put into a film. So I want to thank Gauri (Khan). She may be the only wife who’s spending more on the husband than the other way around. We were going through a tough time while making Jawan (referring to the Aryan Khan case).”
One day following the raid on the Cordelia cruise in Mumbai on October 3, 2021, his older son Aryan Khan was taken into custody. After spending more than 20 days in jail, Aryan received a clean sheet from a special investigation team (SIT) established by the NCB, stating that he was not a member of a wider drug-dealing ring.
Shah Rukh also requested Animal director Sandeep Reddy Vanga to get him a South movie similar to Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa: The Rise. The movie was a huge hit when it came out in 2021. The sequel Pushpa 2 The Rule is scheduled for release in December of this year. Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna, and Allu Arjun will feature in the Sukumar-directed movie. The movie Animal (2023), starring Ranbir Kapoor, was Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s last release.
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in ‘King’, directed by Sujoy Ghosh. He will be seen sharing screen space with his daughter, Suhana Khan, who recently made her debut with Zoya Akhtar’s directorial The Archies. The movie is also set to feature Abhishek Bachchan in a pivotal role.
