A large emergency service response has been triggered by a serious incident in a shopping street in North Devon. Police and ambulance crews were first seen in Bideford around 1pm this afternoon, Tuesday, July 2.
An eyewitness said there is currently a large number of police and ambulance personnel in Bridgeland Street. They said: “Happening now Bridgeland Street, Bideford. Not sure what actually happening. Police have closed the road. Ambulance there now too. Six police cars and one ambulance”.
Details of the incident are currently unclear. DevonLive has contacted police for further information.
