Must read

Venus and Serena Williams dressed to impress as they attended the Gucci Men’s spring/summer 2025 fashion show during Milan Fashion Week on Monday.

The tennis champions looked sensational as they posed for photographers on the Triennale di Milano steps.

Venus, 44, turned heads in a cropped white blouse which she teamed with a matching fitted midi-skirt.

She draped a stylish burgundy leather trench over her shoulders and elevated her frame in stiletto heels.

Leaving her long dark tresses straight, Venus wore a glamorous palette of makeup and carried her belongings in a black handbag.

Younger sister Serena, 42, looked equally glamorous in a pink trouser-suit and matching lace sequin shirt, partially unbuttoned to reveal her cleavage.

She added inches to her frame in a pair of towering heels and toted her belongings in an eye catching red handbag.

Serena completed her outfit with a pair of bold sunglasses and styled her long blonde tresses in voluminous waves.

The sisters were joined by their 72-year old mother Oracene, who opted for an embellished white shirt and jeans, and rarely seen sister Lyndrea Price.

Lyndrea looked incredible in a figure hugging navy midi dress which she donned with a black handbag and heels.

Serena and Venus were also joined at the event by actor Paul Mescal who rocked a pair of short-shorts with a loose fitted blue shirt and Gucci loafers.

Oracene and Serena and Venus’ dad Richard, 82, divorced in 2002 after a police report with allegations of domestic abuse popped up in Florida, where the entire clan lived.

Oracene suffered three broken ribs but Richard was never charged criminally in connection with alleged crimes.

In the early years of her daughters careers, Oracene watched her girls play in seats far away from Richard but more recently has been spotted in the same luxury boxes as Richard.

The premiere comes after Serena teased a possible return to tennis at the age of 42 – just ten months after giving birth to her second child.

The 23-time Grand Slam winner revealed back in 2022 that she was ‘evolving away from tennis’ after a remarkable era of dominance.

Serena suggested she was on the verge of playing once more. She wrote on X: ‘I’m ready to hit some balls again.’

She has amassed 73 career singles titles, collecting more than $94million in prize money.

She is married to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian and the couple have two daughters – Alexis Olympia, six, and Adira River, who turns one in August.

Williams last played a competitive match the 2022 US Open, when she was beaten by Ajla Tomljanovic.

But her cryptic social media message prompted many fans to plead with her to return.

‘Please come back. You have another Grand Slam or two you can win! We need you back,’ one wrote.

‘Tennis has become boring since you left,’ said another supporter.

A few months before the 2022 US Open, Williams had revealed that she would soon be moving in a ‘different direction’ as tennis took a backseat.

‘I have never liked the word retirement,’ Williams wrote. ‘It doesn’t feel like a modern word to me.

‘I’ve been thinking of this as a transition, but I want to be sensitive about how I use that word, which means something very specific and important to a community of people. Maybe the best word to describe what I’m up to is evolution.’

She added: ‘There comes a time in life when we have to decide to move in a different direction.

‘That time is always hard when you love something so much. My goodness do I enjoy tennis. But now, the countdown has begun.

‘I have to focus on being a mom, my spiritual goals and finally discovering a different, but just exciting Serena. I’m gonna relish these next few weeks.’

But barely a month after the US Open, Williams had begun to hint that her career might not be over after all.

‘The chances (of me returning) are very high,’ Williams said. ‘You can come to my house and (see). I have a court.’
