Emilia Perez first premiered at the 77th Cannes Film Festival back in May, where it competed for the Palme d’Or.
The project eventually won the Jury Prize during the festival, while the female ensemble won the Best Actress award. In August, the musical crime comedy was released in theaters in France – and is slated to become available on Netflix in the U.S. and U.K. starting on November 13.
The movie was also selected as the French entry for Best International Feature Film for the upcoming 97th Academy Awards.
Selena has been generating an awards buzz with Variety previously reporting that the actress is likely to be up for an Oscar nomination in the supporting actress category.

The star got emotional as a young fan introduced her as someone who leads ‘generations with confidence, style and grace’ and someone who inspires kids like her.
Selena also reflected on her mental health in an interview recently, and was asked what she does on a bad mental health day.
The star, who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2020, said that she will reach to friends and people that she ‘trusts.’
She told Page Six: ‘Sometimes isolating myself when I’m not feeling great can be scary. I think all these thoughts. But if I’m around people that make me feel good, and make me feel like I can say anything, that always helps me.’
She also noted that she does speak to her therapist during those moments of feeling low mentally, but doesn’t ‘want to call my therapist too much.’
The star also said that she loves to talk to her younger sister Gracie, 11, because she’s ‘very sweet and innocent and she makes me feel very grounded.’
Emilia Perez will be released in UK cinemas on 25 October.
