A screaming match broke out on a JetBlue flight between a mother and another passenger as he accused her of holding up takeoff by bringing ‘too many kids’ on the plane.
Video footage taken by fellow passenger Chanel Morel shows the moment the situation went from 0 to 100 – real quick.
The woman appeared to be blamed for multiple delays after she handed her child to a good Samaritan after being told the kid needed to sit with an adult.
The incident took place on a flight from JFK airport in New York City to Cibao International Airport in the Dominican Republic on June 23rd.
‘We were already delayed multiple times, wasn’t her fault,’ Morel told PPV Tahoe.Â

The mom’s teen son stepped in to defend his parent after a man unleashed his rage
The plane was about to take off when the flight attendant noticed the mother had two infants and a 13-year-old-son with her. The teen was carrying his little sister and the mother was carrying the other infant, Morel said.
The flight attendant informed the mother that another adult had to be present. After the pilot got word of the incident, the plane had to go back to the gate.
However, a good Samaritan offered to hold the baby in his lap when the plane arrived back at the gate. The mother agreed, so they changed the reservation so that the baby was under the other passenger’s name.
The issue was resolved and the plane went back to the tarmac, however, just before take off, another passenger snapped at the mother, blaming her for all of the issues.
‘As soon as the issue was resolved & we were about to take off the dude starts going crazy and yells at her,’ said Chanel.
As the man was yelling at the mother, her teenager stood up for her, outraged at the disrespect.Â
‘Who do you think you’re talking to in front of my mom like that?’ the teenager said.
The incident escalated quickly after a man confronted the mother and her teen son
The man cussed out the teenager, which is when the mother stepped in, yelling at the man for directing his anger at a minor.
Most airlines say that an adult passenger can care for a maximum of two child passengers while on a plane. Â
