Manchester United are in the midst of a busy summer of change and that has transferred to their summer transfer window business, too.
Now sporting director Dan Ashworth and CEO Omar Berrada are in place, United have got to work on their rebuild and they are already seeing a number of changes to the squad, both in terms of incomings and outgoings.
United have secured the signing of Joshua Zirkzee and are targeting moves for Matthijs De Ligt, Jarrad Branthwaite, Leny Yoro and Manuel Ugarte, too.
Willy Kambwala has left the club to join Villarreal, while Mason Greenwood is expected to leave soon, too. There’s interest in other players United will need to consider, and one of those is Scott McTominay.
Here’s all you need to know about the Scotland international’s future as United weigh up their options.

Galatasaray talks
Manchester Evening News understands United have turned down early bids for McTominay this summer. Turkish giants Galatasaray are known to be in the market to sign the 27-year-old after their vice president confirmed they were in discussions over his transfer.
“McTominay’s transfer fee is being discussed,” Ibrahim Hatipoglu said, as quoted by Haber Sarı Kırmızı. “Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is a good player, he has many suitors, he wants to see all options.
“There is no talk of single-digit figures for right-back and midfield transfers. But we have allocated a budget of less than €10million for right-back.
“There is no negative situation regarding Guela Doue [Rennes right-back]. Negotiations are ongoing [for] McTominay and Doue. Wan-Bissaka is not our priority.”
Whether or not a Turkish side have the funds to come close to United’s valuation of the player, however, remains to be seen.
Premier League interest
Reports last week suggested that both Everton and Fulham were interested in McTominay this summer and United rejected a £30million bid from West Ham United last summer.
McTominay, who has also been linked with Newcastle United in the past, was understood to be receptive to that move amid the possibility of getting more regular game-time.
Manchester United’s stance
McTominay played 43 matches last season and emerged as a key player under Erik ten Hag as he took advantage of injuries to Mason Mount, Casemiro and Kobbie Mainoo.
However, with those players fit now and United in the market for new midfielders, they could be receptive to the sale of McTominay, given he is an academy graduate.
Ten Hag was willing to sell McTominay last summer and any sale from homegrown players would go down as pure profit according to the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability rules.
McTominay is also out of contract next summer and United risk losing him on a free transfer if they don’t sell him this summer or, of course, agree a new deal with him.
