Scotland have been dealt a major injury scare after Andy Robertson limped out of training.
Steve Clarke‘s side are set to take part in the Euro 2024 curtain-raiser when they face hosts Germany on Friday night – a match that is live on talkSPORT.
But Scotland could be without one of their star players, with the Liverpool star hobbling out of training.
The 30-year-old is a core player for The Tartan Army having won 71 caps for his country so far.
However the left-back was forced out of training early, with kitman Aidan McIlduff replacing him during the session.
After being tended to on the pitch, the defender looked uncomfortable as he walked off the training pitch and into the gym area of their training base.
The Liverpool star made 30 appearances for the Reds this term, but missed over three months of the season due to a shoulder injury.
However he did finish the campaign fully fit and in good form ahead of Scotland‘s venture to the Euros.
Robertson wasn’t the only injury worry either, with Lawrence Shankland also being forced out of the session.
Shankland’s injury comes as a real blow following the withdrawal of Lyndon Dykes from the squad last week.
Reds starlet Ben Doak was called up, however he has also now withdrawn from the squad and been replaced by Bristol City’s Tommy Conway.
Scotland face a tough task in Group A, knowing that they will need to conquer Germany, Switzerland and Hungary if they are to progress to the next round.
