Amazon Prime Day fitness tracker deals: What can you expect?
One of the most popular fitness tracker brands out there is Fitbit, and in last year’s Prime Day sale we saw some huge discounts from the brand, including a tidy 28% off the Versa 4 (one of the best Apple Watch equivalents). The Fitbit Charge 6 has also been released in the past year, and it’s likely the watch will have a price-cut for Prime Day.
For dedicated iPhone users, the Apple Watch is tough to top. And for Prime Day 2023, the Series 8 and SE models both offered up discounts (around £50 off).
Android user? We’ve already spotted discounts on the Google Pixel Watch and the newer gen 2, which are likely to come down even more around Prime Day.
Fitness trackers can be more affordable alternatives to the best running watches, and often come in more slimline, stylish designs that make them better for everyday wear. It’s important to note, however, that some fitness trackers come with built-in GPS, while others rely on piggybacking the GPS from your phone. Our advice? Decide if phone-free running is a dealbreaker before you buy. We’re expecting plenty of Prime Day Garmin deals to pop up, too, which could be an alternative option to consider.

Fitbit Sense 2
Fitbit’s top-tier smartwatch comes with advanced activity tracking (24/7 heart rate monitoring, built-in GPS, workout intensity map, Daily Readiness Score, Active Zone Minutes, all-day activity tracking, 40+ exercise modes and automatic exercise tracking), EDA stress dedication, an ECG heart health assessment, tools to measure and improve sleep quality and more. What more could you want?
Garmin Vivomove Sport
The Vivomove Trend is part of the Garmin’s hybrid collection – combining classic analogue style with smartwatch functionality – and we’re big fans. The display, which is bright and easy to read, reveals metrics such as heart rate, step count, sleep, stress and blood oxygen levels, and you can access additional features via the Garmin Connect App including menstrual cycle, hydration and respiration tracking. It comes with all your usual workout modes, including cardio, strength training, cycling, swimming (it’s waterproof to a depth of 50 metres) and running. Just note that it doesn’t have built-in GPS, so you’ll have to tuck your phone into your pocket for GPS support
Google Pixel Watch
Now that the Google Pixel Watch 2 is out, you can find the original for a whopping 47% off its original price. Like the Vivomove Trend, the Pixel Watch will look just as good on your wrist at a dinner party as it will in the gym thanks to its glossy pebble-shaped face and subtle silicone strap. The Pixel Watch boasts Fitbit’s health and fitness tracking features, with 40 workout modes, sleep stages, menstrual tracking and metrics including breathing rate, HR viability, heart rate zones, as well as basics like step count, calorie burn. One major downside is the lacklustre battery life – it lasts less than 24 hours without exercise – but that’s also the case with many of its smartwatch competitors.

Fitbit Versa 4
Think of the Versa 4 as Fitbit’s Apple Watch alternative. Similarly to the Charge 5, it comes with on-board GPS, six days of battery life and is water resistant up to 50m. A six-month Fitbit Premium membership is also included. It’s a more paired back version of the Fitbit Sense 2: losing the advanced EDA stress sensor and ECG heart health tech. However, for everyday fitness tracking and surface-level smartwatch charm, it fits the bill perfectly.
