After Apple launched a new discount offer this week, Samsung has joined in with a major sale of its own.
Samsung has been dabbling in a lot of deals this year as it battles to claw more people into its ecosystem. Be that by handing out free Galaxy phones with TV purchases, or giving away free Galaxy S24 storage upgrades. But the latest sale, which sees almost all phones it released this year, is the biggest yet.
The sale knocks between 22% and 38% off select Galaxy phones and lasts until June 4th. The catch is that the promotion only applies to shoppers in the U.K. If you’re a U.S. buyer, Samsung’s free storage upgrade offer is live right now, alongside some enhanced trade-in prices.
As it stands, Samsung has discounted the following devices.
- Samsung Galaxy S24 |from £799 ($1018.09) to £499 ($635.83) (37% off)
- Samsung Galaxy S24+ |from £999 ($1272.92) to £699 ($890.67) (30% off)
- Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra | from £1,249 ($1591.47) to £949 ($1209.21) (24% off)
- Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 |from £1,749 ($2228.57) to £1,349 ($1718.89) (22% off)
- Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 | from £1,049 ($1336.63) to £649 ($826.96) (38% off)
- Samsung Galaxy A55 |from £439 ($559.37) to £289 ($368.24) (34% off)
- Samsung Galaxy A35 |from £339 ($431.95) to £239 ($304.53) (29% off)
- Samsung Galaxy A25 | from £249 ($317.28) to £169 ($215.34) (32% off)
These are huge discounts, especially for the Galaxy S24 phones which only launched in January. Smartphone manufacturers tend to clear existing stock to make way for a new handset. Considering that Samsung is gearing up for its summer Galaxy Unpacked event in Paris on July 10th, where it will likely release the Galaxy Z Fold 6, that might explain these sudden, deep, price cuts.

The U.S. Samsung store has also kicked off its summer sale with some enhanced trade-in prices, which appears to be the on trend way for manufacturers to drive sales. The Korean company is offering up to $500 trade-in credit when buying the Galaxy Z Flip 5, alongside a $200 straight money-off discount. There’s a huge $500 off the Z Fold 5, which has been coupled with up to $800 in a trade-in voucher.
Samsung is still running the double storage offer for the Galaxy S24 range with up to $750 trade-in credit for your old device (up to $600 when buying the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus, or $750 when buying the Ultra).
There’s also enhanced trade-in prices for the Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic, knocking a maximum value of $200 and $250 off the final price respectively. But act quickly if you have had your eye on the smartwatch because when I added both phones to my basket, Samsung said they were sold out. The Buds Pro have had $60 knocked off the final price, with an additional $50 off if you have some old earbuds to hand over. But considering that Samsung could release the Buds Pro 3 soon, this price will likely drop again and drastically.
Are these deals worth it?
There are a couple of extra factors that need to be considered before you pull the trigger on one of these deals. Firstly, which phones have Samsung’s new Galaxy AI toolset? Only the A-series (A55, A35, A25) don’t have the Korean company’s latest AI software. That may or may not change in the future considering Samsung has been adding select AI features to older Galaxy phones in recent months. But the company is remaining tight-lipped on its plans for now.
The Galaxy S24 deals look the most impressive to me, not least if you have an older phone to trade in, which can knock up to £395 off the final price. The Samsung Shop App also has a long-standing 5% discount for all first-time buyers if the code “APP5” is used.
It’s also worth pointing out that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be out this summer, so if you want the latest version of Samsung’s foldable phone, hold tight. The company will almost certainly unveil a pre-order deal alongside the device—so stay tuned for that.
