For a limited time, Samsung will send a Galaxy laptop for free to anyone to anyone who treats themselves to one of the popular brand’s newest Android smartphones. With an RRP of £299, this lightweight laptop is powered by ChromeOS — the desktop operating system offered by Google as an alternative to Windows 10.
Samsung has equipped the Galaxy Chromebook Go with a spill-resistant keyboard, so it can survive an accidental coffee spill — or two. It lasts up to 12 hours on a single charge, so you’ll be able to work all-day without having to hunt out a plug. When it’s time to recharge the battery, it uses the same USB-C cable as Samsung’s line-up of Android smartphones, so you’ll only need to pack a single cable on any trips.

Samsung has equipped the laptop with Wi-Fi 6, which offers faster and more reliable internet.

These flagship smartphones start from £949 for the folding Galaxy Z Flip 6. Given that Samsung usually charges £299 for the Galaxy Chromebook Go, you’ll be effectively paying £650 for this Android handset, which was announced last month in a blockbuster event in Paris.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 is more expensive, starting from £1,799 with its larger 7.6-inch tablet-sized foldable screen. It comes equipped with a faster processor, coupled with a 1.6x larger vapour chamber to improve cooling during sustained performance so you can play graphics-intensive games for longer.
All of this means you’ll be able to enjoy Ray Tracing — an advanced lighting technique usually reserved for the latest generation of consoles from PlayStation and Xbox — in mobile games.
Everything is protected with the latest toughened glass from Corning, known as Gorilla Glass Victus 2, which should make this model more durable than previous iterations.
Galaxy S24 Ultra, which costs £1,449, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and Galaxy Z Fold 6 all come equipped with Galaxy AI — the latest Artificial Intelligence features from Samsung. It allows Android phone owners to translate incoming and outgoing calls on your device in real-time. This feature works across third-party apps, like WhatsApp and Zoom.
It can also translate conversations in real life, with the text appearing in real-time on-screen. Another AI trick — dubbed Note Assist — built into Samsung Notes will intelligently suggest summaries of longer handwritten and typed notes. Samsung will also automatically format notes as you write them, so you won’t need to worry about a messy handwritten scrawl if you were in a hurry. Voice recordings within the Samsung Notes app can be transcribed, translated, and summarised into easy-to-read bullet points with AI too.
