ZARA McDermott and Sam Thompson have split up after dating for five years, according to reports.
Zara, who shot to fame on Love Island, and Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson have ended their relationship after ‘growing apart’.
The couple spent Christmas apart, with it now being confirmed they’ve ended their relationship after ‘a tough year’.
A source close to the couple told MailOnline: “Sam and Zara have ended their relationship. It’s been an incredibly difficult decision for them to part ways, they still care and have a lot of love for each other.
“But after a tough year of working hard at their romance, they have split and will be focusing on their individual careers going forward into 2025.
“There has been no scandal or fallout between them, it’s just the result of a difficult year, where they both had to spend a lot of time focused on their own projects.”
Following the split, Sam joined some of his Made In Chelsea pals while enjoying a wild New Year as his ex-girlfriend Zara McDermott stayed in their Chelsea home.
The TV star, 32, was seen in a pub making a toast as Reza Amiri-Garroussi filmed.
Sam and Reza were joined by a group of pals at Kensington Rooftop Gardens, including MIC star JP.
In his speech I’m A Celeb winner Sam told fans it was going to be a “memorable evening”, as he told his reality telly pals how lucky he was to be spending New Year with them.
The night started off with some relaxed drinks, but Reza filmed things escalating as they partied in the swanky venue as the clock struck midnight.
But while Sam was out partying, Zara McDermott stayed home with her cat and took a photo, writing “Happy New Year.”
Whilst Zara might have spent her New Year’s Eve as a quiet night in, her career has been predicting as kicking off in 2025.
Zara, who rose to fame on Love Island in 2018, has appeared on Strictly Come Dancing, landed a brand partnership with L’Oréal and launched her clothing range, Rise, with Tesco.
She’s also fronted a documentary titled Ibiza: Secrets of the Party Island over the summer where she explored what makes Ibiza tick.
In October it was announced she had landed a brand new BBC two-part documentary exploring the impact of stalking, further cementing herself as a force to be reckoned with.
She’s also built significant wealth according to her latest accounts with Companies House, which saw her wealth soar from £142,726 to £309,913 in the space of 12 months.
Experts say she is becoming the “one to look out for” – and could even be the “next Maya Jama.”
