Mohamed Salah and Jürgen Klopp shared a big hug ahead of the latter’s final game as Liverpool manager, as shown in previously unseen footage.
There has been plenty of speculation over the pair’s relationship in recent weeks. Salah and Klopp clashed during last month’s 2-2 draw at West Ham, with the former seemingly not happy after being named on the bench.
Klopp moved quickly to play down the argument, insisting after the game that the matter had been resolved. Salah’s subsequent reaction to the media though posed more questions, with the Egyptian claiming: “If I speak, there will be fire.”

There have been few signs of a fallout in recent games though, with Salah starting Klopp’s final three games in charge. What’s more, the pair had appeared to put any animosity behind them before the German’s swansong.
Liverpool has now released behind-the-scenes footage of Klopp’s final game in charge against Wolves on Sunday. The latest episode of Inside Anfield shows the 56-year-old throughout his final day in the job.
Ahead of his last outing, Klopp can be seen in the tunnel alongside his players waiting to walk out on the Anfield pitch. Salah then moves in, with the pair sharing a warm embrace.
The footage perhaps backs up Salah’s latest message on social media, suggesting he will be staying put at Liverpool this summer.
“We know that trophies are what count and we will do everything possible to make that happen next season. Our fans deserve it and we will fight like hell,” Salah posted following the confirmation of Arne Slot’s appointment.
Liverpool.com says: Any animosity that was lingering from Salah towards Klopp seems to have dissipated since that West Ham game. The pair look to have been on much better terms since then, and it’s good to see that they ended their time together with a mutual respect.
It’s particularly telling that in the footage from the tunnel, Salah appears to be the one who instigates the hug. He certainly seems much happier than he did a few weeks ago, and hopefully that’s a good sign for the summer.
