Rylan Clark and Rob Rinder reunite after ‘friendship turned to love’

Rylan Clark has excitedly announced a reunion with his “work husband” Rob Rinder, following the buzz from their BBC travel series.

Despite ongoing rumours about the nature of their relationship, the duo maintains they are simply great mates. The 35 year-old This Morning presenter shared the news with his 2.2 million Instagram followers on Friday afternoon, posting an endearing selfie with 46 year-old Rob, giving few details away.




In the Instagram story, Rylan affectionately captioned the photo: “With the work husband,” making sure to tag Rob in the post. Their three-part series, which celebrated the bicentenary of Lord Byron’s death, feature the pair exploring Italy, reports the Express.

Before the premiere, Rylan expressed his enthusiasm on Twitter, writing: “Tonight our new show starts at 9pm on BBC Two and iPlayer. It was so special. This man has become family to me because of this experience. It really is a show like no other and we’re so proud of it. Hope you enjoy.”

Rob playfully stoked the rumour mill in his reply: “Friendship may and often does, grow into love.’ Byron .. See you alongside him 9pm tonight @BBCTwo.”

Speculation about a possible romance was fuelled last month when Rylan and Rob made a joint appearance on the BAFTA TV Awards red carpet.

Rylan Clark took to Twitter to clarify rumours about his personal life, stating: “The answer is no. I’m not dating Rob Rinder, he’s one of my closest friends. Next time, tweet me.”

Discussing his divorce on a BBC programme, Rylan shared with friend Rob the depth of his struggles, revealing: “I sunk,” and “I tried to end it. Tried to finish myself off.” He continued, detailing the physical toll it took on him: “I went down to nine stone and I’m 6ft 4in, Rob… I had a breakdown. I was in a really bad way.”
