Ryan Reynolds has addressed the public for the first time since his wife, Blake Lively, filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against actor-director Justin Baldoni.
While taking to Instagram, the 48-year-old actor shared a message hinting at a challenging time for family.
In regards to this, Reynolds posted a video to raise awareness for his and Blake’s charity campaign in partnership with Sick Kids Hospital while donning his iconic Deadpool suit.
Moreover, the couple has pledged to match donations up to $500,000 until Christmas Eve.
In the video, Reynolds acknowledged the personal difficulty he faced while filming the campaign as he wrote, “This was done during a time I really didn’t feel like putting the suit on,” while thanking collaborators and his daughter, who also appeared in the clip.
According to Daily Mail, the post came just days after Lively filed a lawsuit in the California Civil Rights Department, accusing Baldoni of fostering a toxic workplace environment during the production of their film.
Furthermore, allegations include sexual harassment, inappropriate behavior on set, and retaliation after she raised concerns. However, Baldoni has denied all accusations.
As per the publication, Reynolds blocked Baldoni on Instagram a few months ago, fueling speculation about the tension between the two parties.
