Rutherglen Exchange Shopping Centre celebrated Volunteers’ Week by gifting vouchers to those who do so at the centre.
Volunteers’ Week ran from June 3 to June 9 and is used as a chance to recognise, celebrate and thank the incredible volunteers for all they contribute to our local communities, the voluntary sector, and society as a whole.
To thank those who volunteer at The Salvation Army, Shelter Scotland and Thistle Credit Union, centre manager Jane Cowan gifted the teams some Greggs vouchers to enjoy some coffee and cake as a treat.

The Mandy Evans Ewing lunchtime CamGlen radio show was also broadcast live from the centre on Thursday to give a platform for the fantastic volunteering work the radio station does within the local community.
It also acted as a chance to drive new volunteers to join the team.
Jane Cowan said: “Volunteers’ Week is a brilliant opportunity to showcase the wonderful contribution volunteers make to the community in our local area.
“As a thanks to our centre volunteers, we invited them to take a break and enjoy some coffee & cake on us.
“The outside broadcast radio crew had customers dancing, singing and signing up to become a volunteer.”
