DESPERATE fans are hoping to catch the first glimpse of Taylor Swift in Edinburgh – amid rumours she’s set to arrive at a swanky hotel in the city.
Around 220,000 Scots Swifties are expected to descend on the city for the superstar’s much-awaited Eras Tour.
The global icon, 34, is expected to arrive at the Caledonian Hotel, formerly the Waldorf Astoria, ahead of her shows in Murrayfield.
The sell-out tour will kick off tomorrow before another two shows on Saturday and Sunday.
And fans have been craning to get a glimpse of Swift in Edinburgh before she takes to the stage.
Four black BMW X5 4×4 cars were seen in the rear car park of the five-star hotel in the city centre late this morning.
And this has fuelled suggestions the Cruel Summer hitmaker will be there.
Numerous burly men were also seen emerging from the vehicles.
And they were then spotted chatting seriously to one another in the car park.
A short time later the cars emerged and left the car park in a convoy.
A lone concierge could be seen helping hotel residents with their luggage at the front of the grand hotel.
Passers-by could be heard speculating where the crooner is due to stay during her three dates at the Edinburgh stadium.
And songs by the US artist were being belted out through speakers at the trendy Huxley restaurant nearby.
The heightened security around the hotel comes after a mysterious private jet was spotted at Edinburgh Airport today.
Fans were quick to speculate that the jet could belong to Swift after BMW X5 security cars surrounded it when it landed on the runway.
It comes as new images of Murrayfield have given fans a sneak peek preview of the stage for Swift’s shows.
Crews have been rushing to get the Edinburgh stadium ready for the packed shows.
Drone footage from above the stadium showed huge screens already set up for the hotly anticipated concerts.
Workers could also be seen moving pieces of the stage into place.
Equipment boxes were also seen scattered throughout the main ground of the stadium ahead of the show.
