Must read

Virgin Limited Edition, the luxury travel brand owned by Richard Branson, is expanding its portfolio by acquiring partial ownership of Finch Hattons Luxury Safari Camp. Located in Kenya’s Tsavo National Park, the 17-suite tented camp will become the ninth property in Virgin Limited Edition’s collection on July 1. The Gehlot family will retain partial ownership of the camp.

Finch Hattons features a dining pavilion and a star-gazing
terrace, a pool, the Chyulu Spa, an open deck for
yoga sessions, a cozy Karen Blixen lounge and a bar. The camp also boasts views of Mount Kilimanjaro and Africa’s only Shetani lava flow. The
Gehlot family also is co-owner of Virgin Limited Edition’s Mahali
Mzuri camp in Kenya.

Tsavo National Park is one of the world’s most biodiverse regions. Travelers can embark on early-morning and late-afternoon game drives, where they’ll spotting elephants, giraffes and buffaloes, or spend their days hiking the Chyulu Hills cloud forests, exploring ancient rock formations, discovering local Maasai traditions or visiting the Rhino Sanctuary.

This acquisition marks Virgin Limited Edition’s fifth property in Africa and second in Kenya. Finch Hattons will also become part of the Virgin Hotels Collection, a broader portfolio that includes both hotels and unique retreats.
