The BBC presenter Jay Blades has denied a domestic abuse offence.
Blades, 54, who presents The Repair Shop, was charged with controlling and coercive behaviour against Lisa Zbozen, his estranged wife, last month.
In a plea hearing at Worcester crown court on Friday afternoon, the presenter, who appeared wearing a black three-piece suit, denied the charge.
West Mercia police began an investigation after they were called to an address on May 3, a day after Zbozen announced the end of her 18-month marriage with Blades in a social media post, in which she said she felt “broken”.
