Many PC gamers have experienced Red Dead Redemption 2 at this point. Unfortunately, the game that started it all has remained unavailable on the PC platform for 14 years. That is finally changing this month. To ensure your rig is up to speed, here are the PC system requirements.
Rockstar has officially announced that Red Dead Redemption will be available on PC across Steam, Epic Games and the Rockstar Launcher starting on the 29th of October. This is the enhanced version of the game, so you’ll get access to higher resolutions and frame rates. The popular Undead Nightmare expansion also comes as part of the package.
If you are looking to jump into Red Dead Redemption as soon as it is available on PC, here are the system requirements:
Minimum:
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i5-4670 or AMD FX-9590
- RAM: 8GB
- GPU: GeForce GTX 960 or Radeon R7 360
Recommended:
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i5-8500 or Ryzen 5 3600X
- RAM: 8GB
- GPU: GeForce RTX 2070 or Radeon RX 5700 XT
Naturally, you’ll also need some disc space available. While Rockstar says an SSD is recommended, the game only weighs in at 12GB, so you should be more than fine to run it on a HDD. After all, this game did originally run on a 20GB Xbox 360.
