Lily Allen has been labelled ‘cold’ by Australian radio stars after revealing she got rid of her dog when it cost her a fortune by eating her and her children’s passports and visas – which also prevented the kids seeing their father for months.
On the latest episode of her Miss Me? podcast, the singer, 39, confessed the pooch, which she returned to the shelter, ‘ruined her life’ as the effort of replacing her documents turned out to be a ‘logistical nightmare’.
And during Friday’s Kyle and Jackie O Show, radio hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O Henderson took a savage swipe at the pop star.
‘Poor puppy,’ said Jackie, 49, while Kyle, 53, said ‘I’m off her now.’
‘Look, I understand the annoyance. But all the passports just laying on the floor with a brand new dog?’ Kyle wondered aloud.
Jackie agreed, saying, ‘Isn’t that all on you? You had them in a place where a puppy could access it?’
Kyle struggled to find the words to condemn Allen, saying, ‘That sort of behaviour, it’s…’
‘Cold,’ Jackie said, to which Kyle added, ‘Very cold.’

But despite her nightmare with her previous dog, Allen is soon planning to get another pooch, which she and her daughters Ethel, 13, and Marnie, 11, have decided to call Jude Bellingham.
Allen, who lives in New York with David, 49, and her children, didn’t specify which dog she was referring to but it can be assumed that it was the puppy – named Mary – whom she and David adopted from New York City-based non-profit Animal Haven in 2021.
She said: ‘We actually did adopt a dog already, but then it ate my passport and so I took her back to the home.

‘She ate all three of our passports and they had our visas in.
‘And I cannot tell you how much money it cost me to get everything replaced, because it was in Covid and so it was just an absolute logistical nightmare.
‘And because the father of my children lives in England, I couldn’t take them back to see their dad for like four months, five months, because this f***ing dog had eaten the passports.
‘And I just couldn’t look at her. I was like “you’ve ruined my life”.’
The Smile hitmaker went on: ‘Passports weren’t the only thing she ate, she was a very badly behaved dog and I really tried very hard with her, but it just didn’t work out and the passports were the straw that broke the camel’s back so to speak.’
Asked on her Miss Me? podcast if with her new passport, she took the surname of her husband Harbour, who she married two years ago, two years after divorcing builder Cooper, she replied: ‘No, and this is quite a bone of contention.
She also told how her ex-husband Sam Cooper wouldn’t let her use her now husband David Harbour’s surname on the replacement passports – a bone of contention with the Stranger Things actor [pictured with Lily in 2020]
‘I still have my ex-husband’s name because I’ve got two children with the man, and it’s hard to travel with children if you haven’t got the same surname.
‘And he wasn’t that up for letting me change the kids’ names to Harbour so I’ve kept my ex-husband’s name.
‘David and I have joint bank accounts and so it’s quite annoying for him to have me with my Amex card with my ex-husband’s name on it. I’m sure that stings.’
Allen said the new puppy the family have set their hearts on is a chihuahua mix.
She told her friend, broadcaster Steve Jones: ‘We maybe are getting a new puppy in the next couple of weeks.
‘Me and the girls have been thinking about a name and we settled on Jude Bellingham.’
