Queen Rania’s own approach to fashion comes through in the selections she makes for formal events. For the wedding between Spanish Crown Prince Felipe de Bourbon and former journalist Letizia Ortiz in Madrid in May 2004, the royal wore this ornately crafted gown featuring a lilac skirt with lace detailing and a button-down white dress shirt.

Throughout the 2000s, Queen Rania continued to play with color and fabric, fashioning this look for Time Magazine’s 100 Most Infuential People issue celebration in New York City in May 2006.
2015
In the 2010s, Queen Rania showcase her approach to royal fashion with a contemporary edge. She wore this white look with an ornately detailed top for the UN Foundation’s Gender Equality Discussion at The Four Seasons Restaurant on Sept. 25, 2015, in New York City.
2017
Bold statements in monochrome white looks became a favorite look of Queen Rania, as evidenced by this dress she wore to the Fashion for Relief event during the 70th annual Cannes Film Festival in May 2017.

For King Charles III of England’s coronation ceremony, Queen Rania experimented with color once again, choosing this yellow Tamara Ralph bow tie dress with coordinating hat and white heels.
