Princess Kate has released a new statement just days after her second public appearance of the year.

On Sunday, the Princess of Wales attended the men’s singles final at Wimbledon with her daughter Princess Charlotte and sister Pippa Matthews.


Kate’s second appearance does not signal a full return to public life but the royal is working from home on some projects.

Kate said: “I am hugely supportive of the Museum’s commitment to create a special space which encourages people of all ages to reconnect with nature and learn more about how we can protect our natural world.

“I know the power of nature to support our development and wellbeing, both by bringing us joy and helping to keep us physically, mentally and spiritually healthy.

“I hope these gardens will be inspiring and transformative for the thousands of people who visit.”

The Princess of Wales is a patron of the Natural History Museum and visited the project in 2021 to learn about its progress.

The statement comes as the Princess of Wales made just her public appearance of 2024 on Sunday.

Kate normally presents the trophies to the men’s and women’s singles winners at Wimbledon.

The royal attended the men’s singles final between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic alongside her daughter Princess Charlotte and her sister Pippa Matthews.

The Princess of Wales has been the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club since 2016.

During the engagement, the royal issued a statement on social media outlining her joy at being back.

Kate wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Great to be back at @Wimbledon!

“There’s nothing quite like The Championships.”

The Princess of Wales has been the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club since 2016.
