Princess Beatrice is no longer dreading the release of an upcoming television drama based on the Prince Andrew’s disastrous interview regarding his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, according to an insider.
A source claims that the Princess of York had initial “worries” about the Netflix production “Scoop”, which features the royal participating in a meeting with the BBC Newsnight team as she actively engages in discussions preceding Prince Andrew’s interview.
It is believed that the princess had concerns about the “backlash” the programme would receive.
But following the reaction to Scoop, she is said to be much less concerned with the release of the latest TV drama – “A Very Royal Scandal” – by Amazon MGM Studios.

“Beatrice was originally dreading the release of ‘A Very Royal Scandal’ because she feared the backlash it would receive,” a source told the Express.
“Since she’s seen how Scoop was produced and realised that it didn’t reflect badly on her, she’s less concerned for the next one later this year.”
The new series examines Emily Maitlis’s approach to securing an interview with Prince Andrew to address his friendship late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Actress Sofia Oxenham is being considered for the role of Beatrice.

The 26-year-old previously starred as Tess in Poldark and has also appeared in Doc Martin, Grantchester, and Dracula.
In Scoop, released on April 5, Beatrice’s character played a short but key role, aiding her father in deciding whether to proceed with the interview.
Newsnight “booker”, Sam McAlister was played by Billie Piper, while Gillian Anderson starred as Emily Maitlis.
The show investigates the process behind the Duke of York’s BBC interview in 2019.

Broadcaster Maitlis challenged Prince Andrew on his Epstein during a television interview in 2019.
The new three-part series will have more emphasis on Maitlis’s preparations for the interview.
It will look at the presenter’s career and personal journey before her Prince Andrew interrogation.
The release of Amazon series is scheduled for October – six months after Netflix dropped their film.
