In the absence of Princess Kate, William invited other young members of the Royal Family to accompany him.

During the garden party, Prince William met with guests from a number of the Prince and Princess of Wales’s patronages, military affiliations and passion projects.

These included Homewards, RAF Valley, Swim England and tenants across Duchy of Cornwall sites.

Crowds waited in the Buckingham Palace gardens under a sea of umbrellas for the Royal Family members to arrive this afternoon.

The Prince of Wales arrived wearing grey pinstripe trousers and a black jacket over a light-coloured waistcoat.

He carried a long umbrella in one hand and with the other he removed a black top hat to greet the crowd.

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester followed closely behind the prince as he made his entrance at the Sovereign’s Garden Party.

The prince was in good spirits as he greeted the crowd under his wide umbrella and received gifts from guests.

Princess Eugenie, Princess Beatrice and Zara Tindall joined their cousin at the party in pink and white outfits.

Princess Beatrice wore a bold, crimson dress and a white headband while her younger sister, Eugenie sported a white dress and pink headpiece.

Meanwhile, Zara kept in fitting with the colour scheme wearing a pearl-coloured dress with pink buttons accessorised with a pink hat and heels.

The three royal women also carried matching black umbrellas to shelter themselves from the rain.

Zara appeared alongside her husband Mike Tindall who was also in keeping with the colour scheme of the day sporting a light pink tie.

It is common for members of the Royal Family to coordinate their outfits for royal events; at Trooping the Colour in 2022, the late Queen Elizabeth, Princess Kate and Camilla arrived in matching blue ensembles.
