Prince Harry torn apart for ‘screaming’ in haunted maze after latest ‘Hollywood’ move: ‘Could have been more composed!’

Must read

Prince Harry has been criticised for “screaming and swearing” during his latest TV appearance, as he joined Jimmy Fallon for a Halloween-themed experience as part of his hit late night show.

The Duke of Sussex was visibly spooked as he and Fallon navigated the all-new haunted maze experience in New York, called Tonightmares.

Harry claimed he is “not easily scared” before heading into the maze, but was less than composed as he and Fallon were met with several scary actors within the experience.

Discussing the latest TV appearance for the prince, GB News Royal Correspondent Cameron Walker made clear how “celebrity, Hollywood and American” the engagement was.

Cameron told GB News: “There’s lots of screaming, lots of swearing. At one point, he looks quite defensive. He didn’t do an actual interview with Jimmy Fallon, but he did go into a haunted house with lots of actors dressed up as zombies and ghosts and all the rest of it trying to scare Prince Harry.

“You would have thought somebody who’d done two tours of Afghanistan would be a little bit more composed during the haunted house experience, but he wasn’t.”

Noting how Harry “seemed to be having a lot of fun”, Cameron stressed that if the Duke was “still a working member of the Royal Family”, he “would not have done this”.

Cameron added: “There was lots of screaming and swearing and jumping – I suspect if he were still a member of the working Royal Family, he would not have done this. It’s very celebrity, very Hollywood. This is very American.

“It’s not particularly British and royal, but it’s Harry’s choice. He stood back as a working member of the Royal Family, he can do what he likes.”

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

Highlighting the latest solo engagement without Prince Harry, host Isabel Webster questioned if something could be read into Meghan Markle’s decision to not join her husband in New York for his string of events in the city.

Cameron explained: “Last year Prince Harry was in New York for a similar number of engagements. Harry did carry out a number of public engagements before he did this haunted house without Meghan, so perhaps Meghan just wants to stay in California at this time of year.

“But there has been a noticeable shift in the last couple of years that professionally, they seem to be pursuing their own avenues. Prince Harry has the WellChild Awards and is coming over to the United Kingdom on Monday to to take part in that.

“He spoke to the Halo Trust, Princess Diana was clearly heavily involved with that and he also spoke at the Diana Award event, which is all to do with mental health.

Cameron continued: “But Meghan seems to be keeping quiet at the moment, pursuing her own interests with her American Riviera Orchard, her lifestyle brand, which still hasn’t happened.”

Despite Harry’s solo engagements, a royal insider has claimed that the Sussexes plan to still “carry out some charitable engagements together”, following their recent trips to Nigeria and Colombia.

The Sussexes are also working on separate projects for Netflix, with Prince Harry’s POLO documentary set to release on the streaming platform soon.

A source told the Daily Mail: “They will still carry out some charitable engagements together and embark on foreign visits, but their work projects will be separate.”
