Prince Harry blasted over ‘terrible snub’ to his family – ‘really cruel and awful!’

Must read

Prince Harry has been slammed for his “terrible snub” to the Royal Family that a royal commentator has labelled “really cruel”.

This comes after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wrapped up a tour to Nigeria last week and hinted that they would like to do more visits like it.

Speaking to People, the duke said that he hoped there are similar trips in the future.

The Prince said: “It is hugely important for us to meet directly with people, supporting our causes and listening, in order to bring about solutions, support and positive change.

“Whether it’s the Archewell Foundation, Invictus or any of our other causes, there will always be reasons to meet the people at the heart of our work.”

Speaking to GBN America, Angela Levin said: “I think that that is a terrible snub to his family. I think it’s really cruel and awful.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS

“He wants to say that he’s okay, he’s fine. He knows how to do these things. And the old fashioned Royal Family can’t. I think he could be a lot of damage, bring a lot of damage to the Royals.”

GBNA host Nana Akua said: “Well what’s he even doing going there anyway? What was the purpose of the trip? It’s pretty unclear to me, maybe it had something to do with Invictus.”

Levin said: “It’s all designed as if there was a TV programme going to run on it, and they would be with this person for ten minutes, nothing lasted very long.

“I watched Meghan go down a line of people who were in a wheelchair, and she took their hand, put it back and was on the next person.

“I mean, it wasn’t even a minute. Now in a film might look okay, but there was no need at all for her to want to do that.

“She just carried on doing that as well and Harry with the wounded soldiers also wasn’t passionate, it wasn’t caring. It was just because that would be useful to do it.

“So it could have been much more about the Invictus Games, but that didn’t come across. That wasn’t the main thing.”

Prince Harry and Megan could be invited on a unofficial royal tour of another Commonwealth country, according to reports.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are in talks to visit Ghana, according to a source, who commented: “There is already a lot of talk and excitement in Ghana, everyone is so keen for Harry and Meghan to come and experience the great culture and warmth.

“Several top names have already visited Ghana in recent years from Ed Sheeran, Naomi Campbell and One Direction’s Liam Payne.

“Idris Elba, who DJ’d at Harry and Meghan’s wedding is a regular too, he is part-Ghanaian and loves spending time ‘back home.’”

The source told The Daily Mirror: “Harry certainly won’t be short of people to show him around and they will certainly roll out the red carpet for him, drafting in some of the finest Afro-beats performers to welcome him and his family. So perhaps it is only a matter of time before Harry and Meghan come out, and sample the famous jollof rice!”
