Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have suffered a fresh blow as the Beckhams were invited to a glitzy State Banquet at Buckingham Palace.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were once friends with David and Victoria Beckham but their relationship has soured in recent years with the couples no longer on speaking terms.

Despite this, David Beckham has forged a solid working relationship with both King Charles and Prince William.

At the same time, Prince Harry’s relationships with his father and brother have deteriorated since he stepped down as a working royal in 2020.

The Beckhams joined approximately 170 guests at the prestigious event in the Palace ballroom.

David Beckham’s presence at the banquet follows his appointment as ambassador for The King’s Foundation in June.

During that appointment, he shared beekeeping tips with the monarch over tea at Highgrove, cementing his connection with royal initiatives.

Victoria Beckham was positioned opposite her husband, placed between Lord Levy and Lord Darzi at the grand banquet.

The King and Queen were joined at the top table by the Emir and Sheikha of Qatar.

The distinguished gathering also included the Prince of Wales and the Princess Royal, who took Kate’s usual place, alongside Sir Keir Starmer and his Qatari counterpart Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.

Ingrid Seward told The Sun: “I only think they would reconcile if they come across each other, and I’m not sure that they really do. I can’t think that their paths would particularly cross again.

“I think the Beckhams have distanced themselves from Meghan and Harry, but for the obvious reasons that we all know, you know Meghan and Harry are in the descendant, not the ascendant.

“Victoria is actually too busy. She’s got a business. She’s got a very successful husband.

“She’s got houses all over the place. She’s got children. I don’t think she probably has any time to think about it really.”
