Fans caught another glimpse of the Princess in a photo released to celebrate her first birthday, which she spent at Frogmore Cottage in 2022. The party was reportedly attended by Zara and Mike Tindall’s three children, Mia, Lena and Lucas, as well as Peter and Autumn Phillips’ daughters, Savannah and Isla. Family friends Charlie and Tom van Straubenzee were reportedly also in attendance, as was photographer and friend of the couple Misan Harriman, who took a photo of the birthday girl that was later made public. The party was a relaxed family affair, with a casual dress code and face painting for the children.
Alongside this year’s heartwarming insight into family life, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex released a set of photographs from their ‘quasi-royal’ international visits in 2024. There were shots from their trip to Nigeria in May, as well as their much-lauded tour of Colombia this August.
The Christmas card, shared to the Sussexes’ official social media channels, was accompanied by a heartfelt message, which read: ‘On behalf of the office of Prince Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Archewell Productions, and Archwell Foundation, we wish you a Happy Holiday Season and a joyful new year.’
Meghan Markle recently revealed how the family spend their holiday season from their home in California. She told Marie Claire that she’s keen for Archie and Lilibet to forge their own ‘magic’ festive traditions, including putting out carrots of reindeer at Christmas. While we can’t be sure of the Sussexes’ festive plans this year, they may well be spending the holidays with Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, who lives nearby.
