Prince Harry accused of deliberately ‘erasing’ Royal Family in new documentary

Prince Harry has been accused of “erasing” the Royal Family in his new Netflix documentary.

The series Polo, which takes a look behind-the-scenes of the horseback sport, was released on Netflix today just weeks after the trailer first dropped.

Although Prince Harry, 40, and Meghan Markle, 43, who are the executive producers of the show, appear in only a handful of scenes, it is believed the couple – who quit life as senior royals in 2020 – have deliberately not mentioned the Royal Family in the series, despite the fact the royals have played the sport for decades.

This could be a result of the Duke of Sussex’s ongoing rift with some of his royal relatives, including his brother Prince William, who is also known to enjoy the sport.

Speaking on GB News, host Andrew Pierce explained: “There’s a big gap in this because of course, polo is the favourite sport of Prince William and he isn’t appearing in the documentary because he’s not speaking to his brother.

“I mean, you can’t do a polo documentary, frankly about Prince Harry if you don’t include the British Royal Family in it because they’ve been playing polo for decades.”

Royal reporter Sarah Louise Robertson then commented: “There is no mention of them whatsoever. It’s almost like Harry’s just erased how he got into the game in this.

“That’s very interesting, he’s focusing solely on playing polo where he is now in the United States, and also when he plays for the charity over in Africa. It’s like he’s just eliminated that history.”

The new documentary comes just weeks before the prince is set to spend another Christmas away from his royal relatives as he plans to spend the festive period at his home in Montecito, California, with his wife Meghan and their two children Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.
