Pornhub has revealed its X-rated site had some unusual traffic during and after the US presidential debate Thursday night.
The event, which saw President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump battle it out on camera, started at 9pm ET – the same time viewership on Pornhub dropped by -8 percent from its average viewership.
‘You could certainly say the debate impacted the evening schedule of hundreds of thousands of Americans,’ a company spokesperson told DailyMail.com.
While the slump lasted for the beginning of the debate, searching spiked 12 percent above the average at 11pm – about 15 minutes following the showdown.

Pornhub is an international site, that receives 130 million visitors worldwide each day, but gets the majority of its traffic from US viewers.
Delaware had the largest drop to -22 percent, which may be due to it becoming close to Washington DC that also saw a dip to -20 percent – as did Wyoming.
However, traffic went up during the debate in some states, the highest being Connecticut at more than 10 percent, followed by Maine with six percent and Alabama rose by two percent.
Pornhub released similar data in 2020 when Trump and Biden went head to head for the presidential seat.
That year, traffic to the adult content site dropped by -18.5 percent at 9pm ET and during the first hour of the debate, compared to a -16 percent in 2016 when the candidates took the stage for the first time.
Thursday drop on Pornhub does not compare to previous debates, which was likely due to many Americans reporting they had no interest in watching the two men.

CNN reported Friday that only 47.9 million people tuned into their lived showing – a steep decline for the 73 million for years ago.
During Thursday’s debate, Pornhub saw its slump start to climb about one-hour into the debate.
Many Americans criticized the candidates who appeared to go at each other’s throats instead of answering questions about inflation, child care and abortion.
But it seemed people flocked to Pornhub shortly after the event was over – and stayed on for at least one hour following.
